The FLL project for World Class is to create a solution that improves the way we learn something. Our chosen topic was to improve the way teachers learn technology, and our solution was the Tech Squad, a group of students at a school that are selected to help teachers with their technology. Visit our website at http://jwmtechsquad.weebly.com.
We are currently working on creating a Tech Squad here at the J.W. Martin Elementary School in North Attleboro, MA, where we meet. The principal, Dr. Klingaman, has approved our idea and is excited for it! The students will be fifth graders recommended by their teachers. They will then take a "literacy test" to make sure that they have the ability and skills to be a member of the Tech Squad, and then they're off and running!
Question: How can we improve the way teachers learn to implement technology in their teaching?
Solution: The Tech Squad!
